I know it's long but you should know what kind of people are working here. Just to be clear I really love the food here. It's always very good. The complaint I have is with the ethics of the staff and management. On my way home my wife called and said she found some coupons for some free dishes. The coupon my wife chose to use was for a free small fettuccine but specified she had to be the one to redeem it. She called the restaurant and spoke to the waitress who told my wife it would be ok if I picked it up and used the coupon. So my wife place the order. When I arrived I told the waitress that I was there to pick up the order my wife had ordered. She immediately knew about the order and what my wife had ordered. I sat at the bar to wait and she proceeded to ring me up. Not sure exactly what my wife had ordered I trusted the waitress to charge the correct amount. She did exactly that. She charged me the full price for the order totally disregarding the fact that I was there to use the coupon for the free meal. She was the one who took the order and told my wife it was ok if I used the coupon for the free meal and chose to charge me instead. When I got home my wife told me what happened. When we called and spoke to the manager he refused to refund charge for the meal that should have been free. On top of that I tipped her a dollar because I thought she was very courteous. I admit I should have paid more attention instead of trusting the waitress to do what was right. I am very disappointed with the waitress and the refusal of the manager to do what was right. It will. E a very long time before we go back if ever. Too bad because the food is really good.

I came here with my mom the other day and it was good I would compare it to Olive Garden... I do happen to like the sauce better at Buca, but the bread isn't as good as good at Olive Gardens Bread Sticks... The service was good the decor is tacky/funky. I would go back for a cheap fast meal with my parents but I wouldn't come here on a date.. It perfect for the chain loving people but I am a more mom and pop restaurant kinda girl...

We went here for lunch today. I like how they have individual meals for lunch. I had the meatball panino and it was really good. They also serve bread with the meal. My husband got the chicken parm and said he wished more places served that size portion.

This place opened about a couple months ago and it was long overdue in Boynton. The restaurant has funky decor and there is something to look at everywhere you look. We chowed down on fettuccine alfredo and stuffed prosciutto chicken. The small size is ridiculously huge. We have enough fettuccine for the next two days. I would have hated to see the large. But damn, you can't beat leftovers. Italian food screams I love you to the moon and back. Ciao!

After waiting for 12 minutes to be acknowledged the servers did a great job. Salad was okay - a lot of onions and heavy in the dressing; but the main dishes were very good.

Dinner companion had meatballs and spaghetti. And man, those were some huge balls... Reminds me of yesteryear. Companion said best ever. Caprese salad was very good. Mozza was fresh and tasty. My shrimp Caesar salad -- not so good. I'm going with indifferent. Server very nice, attentive, and earned her tip.

Terribly overpriced restaurant. Family style is just a code phrase for ripoff. Mediocre food at a 5-star restaurant price. Edit: General Manager has contacted me and he tried to make up for this issue, so credit to the restaurant for doing that. Still, food is mediocre and kinda bland but at least I don't feel like I was cheated out of my money.

They rectified the situation we had, and I was quite pleased with level of customer service we received from management. They were quite understanding and truly made an excellent effort to please their customers. The food is still mediocre, but the people behind the food are great.

Family style Italian dining. Very cute set up. You come here with a group of people. All the portions are family style, so their huge and the more people you come with the more you can share. The staff is very nice. The food is really good. The Gorgonzola salad is amazing!!!! They have great wine too! Oh and the cannoli's are very good! If your looking for a birthday dinner or bridal lunch check this place out.

The chicken parmesan was really good, very tender, and I liked the sauce alot. I think you can actually buy the sauce. The meatballs were pretty good too. The concept is family style and the portions are HUGE! I think it would be better to eat here with a big group. It was just my husband and I and our youngest daughter, who got a kids meal. So basically my husband and I had to agree on something to share or order 2 dishes which is enough to feed 6 adults. For just under $20 we got 3 pieces of chicken parmesan to share, no soup, salad, veg, or pasta, which made for a pretty boring dinner. There isn't anything on the menu that is a single serving so you can't just add a side salad to make it more of a meal, instead of just having a lonely piece off chicken parmesan sitting in the middle of your plate. The decor is really cluttered and kitschy, which I thought was fun. They have a round pope room that you can dine in. I'm not sure if this location has it, but in Orlando we got a walkthrough tour and there was a chef's table in the kitchen. I thought that was interesting and would probably go back for that if this location offered it. I would have given the food and decor both a 4. The service was decent, about a 3.5. Unfortunately I can only give the entire experience a 3 due to the food taking a little longer than expected and the inflexibility of the menu for smaller groups.

I came here for Christmas dinner. The service was good and it wasn't incredibly packed. When ordering food here, everything comes in family-size. You can choose the "small" plate that serves two people or the "large" that serves about four (maybe more?). We ended up ordering the baked ziti to split along with the garlic bread. The "small" order was more than we both could finish. The same goes for the garlic bread. When it comes to the baked ziti, it was just okay. The garlic was bread was fantastic though. I'd like to try the eggplant parm next time. It doesn't come with a side of pasta though. All side pastas are a la carte.

Chain restaurants are never my first choice but one of my exceptions is Buca Di Beppo. The Boynton location is attached to the mall and has a separate entrance which is a little like maze. I showed up and 3 servers spotted me at the front kiosk but didn't even acknowledge me. No hostess in sight, then the 4th server told me he'd be right with me. He turned out to be the bar server and it was his first day. He did a great job but there is certainly a staff issue here. The kids are not properly lead, supervised, and trained. There is one certain dish I enjoy but it's a family menu it only. I ordered the prosciutto stuffed chicken and a side of spaghetti with pesto sauce. This was fairly well prepared but I remember the last two I ordered it to be much better. The chicken was acceptable but barely stuffed with filling. This place is pricey for a single dining unless you Choose from the limited single portion menu. The other trick is for your group to agree on one dish and order family style. My observation was although my server was great the rest of the staff I observed were not aware of hospitality. The food was more chain-like at this location than I've experience d at other Bucca restaurants. My advise is check it out for yourself and the yelp about it. Lest see if we are on the same page. The calamari appatizer with spicy marinara was pretty good. Everything else we ordered was fair to bad. I would not recommend this restaurant at all.

What a memorable evening! We had a group of ten, and everything was perfect. We started off with drinks in the bar area as we waited to be seated. We were placed in what can best be described as the Pope room (pictures of previous Popes adorn the wall). The large table was round and had a rotating inner portion that enabled us to easily share food. And, we had a lot to eat. We started off with bread. Make sure to ask for it. Then, we had all types of appetizers. My favorite was the mushrooms with sour cream. Really good. Same deal with the main course. We had all types of Italian standards. I liked everything. I enjoyed the pastas with the red sauce. I also like spicier foods. We finished with some chocolate cake, cheese cake and tiramisu. We had different types of cocktails, wine and beer. We were stuffed afterward, but it was well worth it. Sometimes you have to over indulge. I can't think of too many places that are better than this place for larger groups. We always walk out of this place happy and satisfied.

My husband and I went here for dinner on Friday and thought it was good, but not overly impressing. We had made reservations and told them ahead of time that it was our anniversary and that we'd like to be seated away from large families. They told us they were seating us at a special table... They ended up seating us in the Cardinal room (right next to the bathroom) right next to a table with 4 loud children. Luckily the table was paying for their bill, so we didn't make a fuss to switch tables. We ordered the mozzarella bread as our appetizer, the spicy arrabiata pizza and prosiutto chicken as our entrees, and the brownie sundae for dessert. While all the food was good and our server Zac was great, the appetizer took and obnoxiously long time to come out (although it was steaming hot when it did finally come), and the dessert took a while too! I'm sure there had to be something going on it the kitchen, since our entrees came out almost the same time as our appetizer. Overall everything was ok, but nothing outstanding!

This Buca di Beppo is fairly new to Boynton Beach. The many small rooms and great pictures on the walls make it an inviting place to eat. The dinners are served family style and the servings are huge. I've been there a few times. I've tried a few different salads and they were pretty good. I wasn't crazy about the Caesar salad dressing. It was okay, but it reminded me of bottled dressing. My cousin loved it, so I guess it depends on your taste. I liked the chopped antipasto salad, and the apple Gorgonzola salad. For appetizers I've tried the bruschetta. It wasn't bad, but it was kind of bland. The artichoke Florentine dip was very good. My cousins favorite was the stuffed mushrooms. For entrees I like their spaghetti with marinara sauce. My cousin and his girlfriend order their meatballs or the chicken limone, which they love. I haven't tried the pizza or desserts. The service has been great. I met the manager on our way out and he was very nice.

Like any other locations, Buca di Beppo is more about quantity than quality. I was excited that a location was opening closer to me in Boynton Beach but was disappointed with the service and quality of the food. I went for lunch and waited over an hour to get my food in a restaurant with no other customers. Hopefully they work out the kinks.

I took our guests there when they were in Boynton Beach, the food was not as good as expected, it was supposed to be Family Style, with large portions which they were not, food was tasteless, we eat out 5 or more times per week, other Italian restaurants do a much better job at better prices. Sorry, we will NOT be back.....

Meals get increasingly poorly made at this location. The eggplant was turned intro fried toast strips and their signature marinara was so sweet a dentist was passing out "get one free cavity" cards. Won't be back for a while.

After reading the previous reviews, we knew what to expect but the $10 discount we got was just enough to get us to try it. The garlic bread was just not very good (that was one of the items that some did like) and the other orders we got were fair at best. Needless to say we will not be returning.

Family-style Italian food of the typical kind you find here in the states. Solid, but nothing extraordinary. However, this place is a lot of fun with a big group, and the service we received was stellar (5 stars for our waitress). I wouldn't come here in a group of 2 or 3, but a large, jolly group will have a good time here... we did.

We went to this location after having a bad experience at the Wellington location. The company bent over backwards to make us happy with this visit. This store had just opened when we visited, and it was well staffed with attentive personnel. The place was clean and inviting with the kind of ambiance that makes for a happy family gathering. The food tasted exactly as described in the menu, and was served family style. I was not real impressed with the cannoli, but then it's hard to find a good cannoli. The location is in the Boynton Beach Mall, with entrances outside, and inside the mall.

We usually go to the one in Wellington, so was excited to find one opened up closer to home. They took over the Ruby Tuesdays location right by the Food Court entrance. Buca has always been pretty consistent with their food quality, and service has always been good, even at their busiest at the Wellington location. First thing I noticed was that the tables were really close together. We arrived about 7.15 and the place wasn't crowded and there was no wait. We ordered the Ravioli Pomodoro for the kids, and the Penne Arrabiatta and Macaroni Rosa. Both Ravioli and Penne came out great, but the Macaroni Rosa came off a bit runny. But overall the food was good. The 2 stars is really for their service. What really prompted me to write in was -- after we were seated and drink orders were taken, we were never brought any bread. When the orders came, I asked our server about it and was really surprised when she told me that it was the manager's policy that bread not be served or offered, unless the patrons asked for it. What???? She was very sweet and a little embarrassed about it, but only doing what she was told to do. I think that's messed up. This is the classic case of penny wise and pound foolish. Another thing that prompted the 2 stars was that we decided to go as I received the 20th Anniversary coupon from Buca and it was a $20 off coupon. It took forever to get our check - server apologized and said that in order for the coupon to be applied, she had to get ALL the managers to sign off on them and took a while to locate them all. It took almost 15-20 mins just for the check. Needless to say, I don't think we will be making the trip back to the Boynton location even if its 10 miles closer. I would rather spend my money where I'm offered bread regardless of whether I ask for it or not.

Stopped by for a drink in Boynton Beach Mall. Very friendly staff and went above and beyond for my strange requests. The staff seems very happy and get along very well a great positive vibe. Don't miss this spot next time you need a drink and some apps before a movie.

This has to be one of my favorite restaurants of ALL time. The place itself is so intimate and cozy, it's perfect for a date night. The pasta here is definitely the most authentic Italian tasting pasta I've ever had at a restaurant. I love it here so much!!

Meals are served family style therefore the portions are larger. The tomato sauce on the chicken cutlet was delicious and the Marinara sauce on the pasta was just as good with a touch of garlic. This is the perfect restaurant for 4 or more people. Lunch specials are made for single portions and have good value. Service was spotty but I would definitely return again.

Server was sweet and bubbly. My husband ordered lasagna and I ordered veal marsala. Both came out luke warm. My veal tasted like a cup of sugar had been added. I can't say what the lasagna tasted like because I refused to taste it. Those were the only two items we ordered, both small size, no drinks, no sides. The bill came out to exactly $49.00. It tasted like cheap cafeteria food. We will definitely NOT be returning. I find it difficult to image that anyone could like this place.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
